Competition: Urban planning- Quartier de la Gare in Mersch / Luxembourg
Taking the global consideration of heat, energy, electricity and water management with the use of renewable energy sources and storage technologies leads to a semi-autonomous integration into the technical infrastructure of the city/town.
The sustainability of the quarter has been ensured by urban quality, high air quality, a high proportion of energy through the use of local resources, and concepts of construction mobility taking into account the ecological balance and environmental sustainability.
