Maison des Sciences Humaines, modelling of an existing building, in Revit digital models
The Maison des Sciences Humaines, completed in 2014, is dedicated to research in linguistics, literature, history, geography, sociology and pedagogy. Most of the space is devoted to office space. A university bookshop and a bistro open to the public complete the program.
The optimization of building management and maintenance using digital mock-ups is part of the Fonds Belval’s digitalization strategy. In this context, the Fonds Belval wanted to create a digital model of the Maison des Sciences Humaines.
Paul Wurth Geprolux was entrusted with the task of scanning specific premises and modeling the building, including the technical rooms and exteriors. This mission is divided into 3 phases:
- 3D scanning of technical rooms
- Creation of a global Revit digital model, subdivided into two sub-models: architecture and special techniques.
- Add technical information to the models.
