European Investment Bank – WKI Building
Paul Wurth has been commissioned to carry out a “2nd opinion survey”, which is developing scenarios for the renovation of the existing WKI-building with 43,000 m2 built surface. A particular challenge was the external, supporting, hardly isolated structure which shall be maintained whenever possible. Paul Wurth Geprolux determined life cycle costs and C02 emission levels and thus significantly contributed to find construction solutions. The aim was also to compare options between renovations and a new construction.
