INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LUXEMBOURG 2 (ISL2)
The new school building construction will meet new environmental standards and an environmental certification (DGNB) was an essential requirement to respect the high comfort requirements of the users. A low energy concept was implemented. Low-emission materials were chosen to optimize the indoor air quality. Furthermore only certified wood from responsibly managed forest (PEFC or FSC certified) were used. The potable water consumption will be reduced by installation of waterless urinals. Finally most of all roofs are realized as green roof to illustrate the sustainable concept and to keep the previous green area.
