Renovation of the old Möllerei building for the cultural project Esch2022 – European Capital of Culture 2022
The former Möllerei hall in the center of Esch-Belval is one of the remains of the steel industry in Belval. It will thus be a key element of the cultural project Esch2022 – European Capital of Culture.
Not in operation for 25 years, a complete renovation of the building was necessary to convert the hall into an industrial museum and to integrate it into the circuit of guided tours of the blast furnaces.
In cooperation with the architectural office BFF and the engineering consultant RWC, Paul Wurth Geprolux was responsible for the technical planning and the creation of the specifications for the following batches:
– Plumbing and HVAC
– Electrical installations weak-current, low- and middle voltage
– Elevator systems
The construction supervision as well as the acceptance tests are also part of our mission
