CFL – Funicular Railway Station Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg

This important change pole will link the railway line coming from the North of Luxembourg to the plateau Kirchberg and to the future stop of the tram. The connected bus stop, located in street St. Mathieu in Luxembourg Pfaffenthal enables the transit passengers to have a link to city public transport. The railway stop has a capacity of 5.000 people / day and per each direction (Luxembourg or Troisvierges).

The funicular railway (double railway routing composed of 4 wagons) has a transport capacity of 1.200 people / 10 minutes (transport duration 63 seconds), the largest in the world at the time of commissioning.
